ECU programming (Re-Flash) includes the following:

Fix all fueling problems inside the ECU.
(The ones that cannot be fixed with an
external fuel tuner or other commercially available methods)
a) All gear dependent maps
b) Main fuel tables (A/n) - adjusted in all active throttle positions.
c) Vacuum tables (MAP)- adjusted in all active areas.
d) Emissions compliant sub-routines that affect driveability - turned
All YCCT (Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle) response
delay filters (detuning items) - turned off.
f) Deceleration tables thoroughly tested
and re-adjusted for best closed to part throttle response.
g) O2 sensors disabled - No need to unplug,

Engine stays running when the throttle is closed.
With stock ECU programming, the injectors are not running when you decel.

YCCT throttle maps are just different throttle ratios, and receive
all flash benefits... across all the modes.
a) Allows all of the 1900 engine's available power - whenever you ask
"Sport" mode uses original throttle ratio programming with full
throttle restrictions removed.

when cruising and moderate acceleration.

Replacing the mufflers with aftermarket slip-ons & ECU flash as compared
to all stock
Comparison of low restriction mufflers as compared to modded stock mufflers
The strong negative resonance caused by not having the catalyst will affect
the fuel mileage in the 1700-2700 rpm range
Good resonance adds power in the 2800-4400 rpm range
This is something that cannot be changed by fuel and ignition settings
- it can only be changed by exhaust design.
