More than 1 year of R&D has been spent on this project !!

Driveability and tuning issues cannot be completely solved with an external fuel tuner
- or other commercially available methods for the Concours 1400.

This is the best result in driveability and power possible anywhere for this model !!
Our proprietary software guarantees it !!

Commercially available software does not access the many areas of the ECU's file that causes driveability issues.

Our proprietary software is what allows us to attain the results that we have gotten on this model and
is what sets us apart from others.

I explain some software issues in detail on the lower part of THIS PAGE

My Kawasaki Concours 14 ECU programming (Re-Flash) includes the following:

1) Fix all inherent fueling problems inside the ECU.
(the ones that cannot be fixed with an external fuel tuner or other commercially available methods)
Includes fueling changes specific to your exhaust
External fuel tuner not needed - just plug in and go !!

2) Disable fuel cut - (Don't know what fuel cut is? Click here)

a) Gets rid of poor throttle transitions from closed throttle.

b) Eliminates all feelings of driveline lash and jerky, delayed throttle response.

c) Changing gears is dramatically improved.

d) Dramatic improvement upon re-application from closed throttle (in all riding conditions).

e) No need for a different throttle tube ratio to prevent jerky response.
Throttle can be modulated at full lean without upsetting your line mid-corner.

f)
Gets rid of annoying popping and banging during decel.

3) Close AIS valve electronically
No need for block-off plates for air injection system.

4) Cooling Fan comes on at 195 degrees and goes off at 186
Helps keep engine cooler when you are stuck in traffic.

5) Re-program Sub-throttles for best response and remove power restrictions
a) This allows a more sensitive throttle that is easy to control.

b) Allows 100% of the 1400 engine's available power - whenever you ask for it.

c) Gives immediate engine response to the throttle with no restrictions

6 ) Complete custom re-curve of ignition timing

a) Gets rid of part throttle timing retarder for more response,
better fuel economy, and less vibration when cruising and moderate acceleration.

b) Gets rid of ignition timing issues that are unique to the Concours 14

c) Set timing for maximium power and driveability across the entire rpm range & all throttle positions

d) Adjust timing to be the same for all gears.

Raise rev-limiter 500 rpm - Recommended
(This is optional and can be left out if you prefer - just indicate it on the form when you send us your ECU)

Raise rev-limiter 500 rpm -
Because with my programming, it's still making good power until 10,500 rpm as can be seen in our dyno charts below.

The Concours 14 shares the same reciprocating parts as it's sibling ZX14 ie;
Crankshaft, connecting rods, piston pins, and valves.... all the same part # (for all years of C14)
ZX14 pistons have higher domes and are just slightly higher compression.

Concours 14 uses ZX14 intake valve springs on all 16 valves.... ZX14 revs to 11,000rpm...
Raising the limiter on this engine (500 rpm) up to 10,500 rpm allows the power to continue with my ecu programming
(just as the engineers intended it to before the restriction department got their hands on it.)

Concours 14 cams are low lift and short duration because the cam timing is varied up to 24 degrees throughout the rpm range...
Low lift, short duration cams require a lot less valve spring pressure to keep things from getting tangled up inside.

7) Reduced heavy engine braking on decel.
More relaxed gear changes and throttle modulation at all speeds.

8) Reduced running temperatures.

9) All power & speed limiters removed

10) All driveability inhibitors removed
Concours 14 engine revs instantly, and offers fantastic fuel economy too !!

11) Free updates when/if we make improvements.
11a) Free updates if you change your exhaust.

12) Return your ecu back to stock at no charge for any reason.
    (shipping not included)

13) Anything that compromises performance and/or driveability is eliminated
.

----
External fuel tuner not needed for most (98%) setups !!

All testing was done in house on my personal ZG1400 Concours shown above !!

Dyno tuning not necessary !!

We can reprogram for the following markets:

- USA & Canada for now -
If you are outside North America, contact us first please.

ECU reprogramming may not comply with federal safety/emission laws !!
ECU reprogramming may not comply with your warranty !!

See Concours 14 Dyno Charts below

All Stock Concours 14 ECU vs. Ivan's ECU programming - This test shown with stock exhaust

Slip-on Test Results - Final result is the bottom chart !!

Full exhaust tests coming soon !!

Adding a slip-on exhaust to this bike adds a significant amount of power above 5500 rpm.

Adding Ivan's ECU programming to the bike just releases all the potential that this engine has,
and adds another 500 rpm of "hard pull" to the powerband when you want it.

Test conditions - average summer weather

Just for added info,

Stock muffler vs. slip-on...... both w/Ivan's ECU programming

All stock vs. final slip-on result - A solid 14hp increase and over 20hp at 10,000 rpm
No other programming anywhere adds as much power, torque and fuel economy.

Full exhaust tests coming soon !!
