This includes reverse engineering all the stock North American FJR1300 ECUs for this bike, dyno tuning,
and on the road testing for flawless driveability.

This offers you the most refined feeling, smoothest, most powerful, best driveability, best fuel economy

than you will find in any other ECU flash offering for your FJR1300.


My Yamaha FJR1300 ECU programming (Re-Flash) includes the following:

1) Fix all fueling problems inside the ECU.

(The ones that cannot be fixed with an external fuel tuner or other commercially available methods)
a) All gear dependent maps equalized
b) Main fuel tables (A/n) - adjusted specifically for your exhaust at all active throttle positions.
c) Vacuum tables (MAP)- adjusted specifically for your exhaust in all active areas.
d) Emissions compliant sub-routines that affect driveability - turned off.

e) All YCCT response delays (detuning items) - turned off.
f) Deceleration tables thoroughly tested and re-adjusted for perfect closed to part throttle response.
g) O2 sensor disabled - No need to unplug, or can be removed if desired.

Includes fueling changes specific to your exhaust !!
External fuel tuner not needed - just plug in and go !!

2) Disable fuel cut - ie; Jerky throttle

Live datalog Disabled:

a) Engine stays running when the throttle is closed.
With stock ECU programming, the injectors are not running when you decel.
(please see the demonstration videos above)

b) Gets rid of poor, imprecise throttle transitions from closed throttle.

c) Eliminates all feelings of driveline lash and jerky, delayed throttle response.

d) Changing gears is dramatically improved.
Without fuel cut disabled, there is no "neutral throttle"
This is the direct cause of your touchy, jerky throttle
because the engine isn't running during decel.

e) Dramatic improvement upon re-application from closed throttle (in all riding conditions).
(Throttle re-application response feels like our old carbureted bikes used to feel)

f) No need for a different throttle tube ratio to try to prevent jerky response.
(which it cannot do anyway)

g) Gets rid of annoying popping and banging during decel and when re-applying the throttle from closed.

3) Raise idle speed to 1150 rpm

4) Close AIS valves electronically

No need for block-off plates for air injection system
No popping on decel !!
No hoses to plug - Just plug in your ECU and go !!

5) Cooling Fan comes on at 195 degrees and goes off at 186

Helps keep engine cooler when you are stuck in traffic.

6) Reprogram YCCT for best response and to remove power restrictions
- (2013 & up models)

YCCT throttle maps are just different throttle ratios, and receive all flash benefits... across all the modes.

a) Allows all of the 1300 engine's available power - whenever you ask for it.

"Sport" mode uses original throttle ratio programming with full throttle restrictions removed.

mode throttle ratio remains 100% original.

b) Gives immediate engine response to the throttle with no restrictions.

c) Low rpm power is dramatically improved, while preserving fuel economy.

d) Response delay filters turned off - part of original detuning.

Engine responds and feels just like a cable throttle - throttle does exactly what your hand does instantly.
No more "vague" response - especially off idle leaving a traffic light, and low rpm operation

f) Enable 3rd YCCT mode - with my own custom linear throttle ratio map.

(This is optional - Just indicate it on the form when sending your ECU)

7) Complete custom re-curve of ignition timing

a) Set main timing tables for maximium power and driveability across the entire rpm range and all throttle positions.
This also helps provide better fuel economy, and less vibration when cruising and moderate acceleration.

b) All gear dependent maps equalized and adjusted for best power and fuel econom
Adjust timing to be the same for all gears.

c) All emissions compliant /detuning sub-routines turned off.

d) Gets rid of part throttle timing retarder for more response and less vibration when cruising and moderate acceleration.

e) Gets rid of ignition timing issues that are unique to the FJR1300.

Improved fuel economy
50+ mpg on this model when riding modestly

Reduced running temperatures
Reduction of heat flow from radiator that cooks you while riding in traffic

10) All power & speed limiters removed

a) Cruise control maximum speed limit can be lifted.
b) Cruise control can also be enabled in 1st and 2nd gear as well as lowering the minimum set speed limits.
This will allow you to set it at any speed.... in any gear.
These are optional - just indicate it on the form when you send us your ECU.

11) All driveability inhibitors removed.
FJR1300 engine revs instantly, and offers fantastic fuel economy too !!

12) Free updates when/if we make improvements.

14) Return your ecu back to stock at no charge for any reason.

All dyno tests performed with 89 octane, 10% ethanol pump fuel with no additives

Just adding my ECU programming to an all stock FJR1300 adds significant low rpm torque and response as well as upper rpm power...
This is most noticeable when leaving a traffic light and cruising in top gear at low rpms.

This chart compares stock mufflers to slip-ons - both runs with stock ECU programming...
*****All slip-on tests were done with no DB killers intalled.*****

Adding my ECU programming to a pair of slip-ons adds power and immediate response especially at low rpm.

K&N air filter gives appx. 1 hp in the power peak

Final result with slip-ons and the stock intake
A nice gain - 9 hp @ 8200 rpm - not an easy task on a bike with a poorly designed airbox & such a small intake.
