YZF- R6 Carb Kit - 1999 thru 2002

Part # R6-9901...$160.00 For off road use only

This kit is the result of 18 months of combined testing. The biggest delay in development was finally getting a bike while the busy season had started. The kit was put on the back burner until the shop slowed down enough so that we could spend the necessary time to do the R+D.

The R6 has a few problems related to bad resonances in the 6000 rpm area. One of which we have never been able to eliminate with any pipe or tuning combination, while keeping the top end power that this little screamer is capable of putting out.

This kit is our most expensive because it is the most complicated kit that we have done. Both the pilot air jets and main air jets need to be replaced. They are pressed in and will require tools to remove them. However, they must be replaced in order to have good closed to part throttle response and to maintain a power peak that pulls hard all the way to 16,000 rpm on the little white tach face !!

In addition to the above, the kit contains the usual main jets, needles with 4 angles ground on them and shim washers. The kit also contains the tools to make the mods to replace the parts aforementioned.

After the kit installation, you can expect a very wild 600cc bike that will feel like it should.



The kit has been tested with the following full exhaust pipes with good results:
Leo-Vinci, Akrapovic, Yoshimura Duplex, M4

This kit will also work excellent with any Slip-on muffler used with the stock header.



IMPORTANT NOTE:
THIS KIT WILL NOT WORK WELL AT ALL WITH ANY PIPE THAT HAS THE REAR COLLECTOR AGAINST THE FRONT TWO WITH NO SECONDARY SECTION. This is the section of the pipe that connects the front 2 collectors to the rear.

THE SECONDARY SECTION NEEDS TO BE AT LEAST 6 INCHES LONG BUT NOT MORE THAN 10 INCHES.
